To realize a green, ecologically resilient Ghana where prosperous communities live in absolute harmony with thriving natural ecosystems, supported by sound environmental awareness and robust clean energy infrastructure.
Our Mission
To restore degraded ecosystems, empower local community developments, and champion ecological consciousness. We build bottom-up solutions integrating clean water, solar grids, youth eco-education, and active tree planting.
Solving the Triad of Ecological Challenges
Ghana faces rapid environmental transformations. Destructive activities such as unregulated illegal mining (galamsey), extensive logging, and climate fluctuations have led to degraded river basins, eroded farmland, and energy scarcity in rural regions.
EcoVita Alliance exists because isolated actions do not work. Environmental restoration must be tied directly to community livelihood. By teaching sustainable agroforestry, installing community solar power grids, and drilling clean water boreholes, we give rural community members sustainable alternatives that preserve resources instead of destroying them.

Our History Timeline
From a small student-led environmental group to a nationwide registered NGO, trace our milestones.
The Sprout of an Idea
Founded by three environmental science graduates as an informal community advocacy club, addressing illegal logging along local rivers in the Eastern Region.
Official Registration & Water Projects
Officially registered as an NGO. Launched the Clean Water Borehole program, drilling the first three community boreholes powered by solar energy in Volta Region.
School Eco-Clubs Launch
Partnered with the Ghana Education Service to introduce Environmental Eco-clubs in 15 public junior high schools, establishing outdoor gardens.
50k Trees Milestone
Celebrated planting our 50,000th tree seedling, expanding our local solar program and securing clean energy grants for school grids.
Strategic Objectives
Key targets set by our board of trustees to achieve by the end of 2028.
- Forest Restoration: Reforest 500 additional acres of degraded hillside lands in coal and mining belts with indigenous trees.
- Clean Water Accessibility: Install 20 solar-powered filtration boreholes in vulnerable off-grid villages in central Ghana.
- Eco-Clubs Expansion: Grow our junior high school eco-clubs from 15 to 50 schools, designing and distributing free local curriculum materials.
- Green Jobs: Train at least 300 village youth in sustainable beekeeping and bamboo cultivation to provide alternative livelihoods.

Executive DirectorAn environmental policy specialist with 10 years of experience coordinating community-based forest conservation efforts across West Africa.
Kwame Mensah
Environmental Education LeadA former educator dedicated to promoting ecological literacy. Kwame designs the curriculum used in all primary and JHS school eco-clubs.
Efemena Awotwi
Community Liaison OfficerBorn and raised in the Volta Region, Efemena coordinates direct communication with village chiefs, council elders, and local land committees.
